We produce cassette type, low pressure drop, high efficiency, easy content replacement activated carbon filters in Ankara-Turkey.
Cassette Type Activated Carbon Filters
Electrostatic precipitators and other filters cannot handle odors in the form of gas molecules. For this reason, the activated carbon filter should be used after the ESP. The activated carbon filter has the following minimum characteristics.
– Activated carbon is a 4 mm diameter cylindrical pellet type.
– Iodine number (AWWA B 600-78) 900 mg / g.
– Bulk density (ASTM D 2854) in the range of 500 – 600 kg / m3.
– CCl4 adsorption (ASTM D 3467) 50%.
– Activated carbon is in rectangular cassettes. As a result it can be used with lower pressure losses. Cylindrical cartridges should not be used because they cause a high pressure drop even in the first installation.
– For an exhaust flow rate of 2,500 m3 / h, more than 45 kg activated carbon is used.
– Carbon filter transition surface area for each 2,500 m3 / h flow rate is 2 m2 (+ – 0,05 m2), transition speed 0,32 m / s (+ -0,03 m / s)
– The activated carbon filter cabinet is in the same cross-section as the electrostatic filter cabinet: So allowing easy installation.
– Activated carbon filter cell 2 mm. Thickness of galvanized steel sheet, made without welding.
– Activated carbon filter cassettes and skids are manufactured from 1 mm thick galvanized sheet without welding.
– 45 kg of activated carbon is used for each 2,500 m3 / h.
– Temperature and humidity control of the exhaust air must be carried out as the efficiency of activated carbon filters decreases due to increased temperature and increased humidity. Check out our automatic control panel page.
