ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR SPECIFICATIONS
The electrostatic filter is the most efficient system to hold particulates in air stream, because of the low power consumption and the ability to be washed repeatedly.
While choosing electrostatic precipitator, followings are important to reach maximum efficiency: The air velocity, the high voltages to ionize the air, the number of ionizers and the collector area. While selecting, the temperature, humidity and environmental characteristics of the air passing through the filter sholud be taken into consideration. Our ESP’s are in modular form and 2 moduls have a capacity of 2.500 m3/h and 3.500 m3/h. So, for higher flow rates more ESP moduls should be used in parallel. Obviously, at higher flow rates efficiency of filter drops.
Below parameters must be kept in mind while choosing the right ESP.:
– For a good result mechanical engineer should calculate the necessary hood exhaust flow rate according to DW172 of BESA ( Building Engineering Services Assosiation ).
– ESP should be installed as close as possible to hood. Duct size, reducers, elbows etc. Must be designed and drawn by a mechanical engineer.
– Cross section area of ESP is 2.000 cm2.
– There are 9 ionizers for each ESP cell.
– Collector area is 14.5 m2.
– Haigh voltage values are 13kV and 6,5kV.
– High voltage power supply has short circuit, high current and spark protection.
– Is ESP door opens, electricity supply ro ESP is cut.
– High voltage insulators are made of cestomide.
– Insulators are fixed to ESP cell tightly to prevent oil leakage.
– ESP cabinet is made of 2 mm. thick galvanized steel.
– To prevent galvanize coating no welding is used.
– There is a aluminum metal filter before ESP cell.
– ESP is test in room conditions. Its efficiency is 98% for particulates of 0,5µ oil vapor.
– If the ESP doesnt have self cleaning auto wash option, two rows must be used for charcoal or other open fire applications.
